The best slim bathroom storage cabinets for small spaces make an awkward gap useful without making the room harder to use. If you are shopping for a slim bathroom cabinet, measure width, depth and the space needed to open it before comparing storage capacity. A very narrow cabinet can still be too deep beside a toilet, while a tall tower needs a suitable installation position.

These four options suit different gaps: a low cupboard, a tall narrow cabinet, a deep pull-out unit and four slimline bathroom drawers. This is an editorial assessment based on research, not hands-on testing. All four exact Amazon UK variants were in stock with a new purchase offer and delivery to London SW1A 1AA when checked on 12 October 2026. Delivery eligibility and sellers can change. Price bands are broad editorial categories, not quoted prices; check the current Amazon offer.

Slim bathroom cabinet quick picks by width

Widths below describe the cabinet, not the minimum installation gap. Leave any clearance required by the instructions and enough space to use and clean it. All dimensions are listed figures, not measurements from our own testing.

The selected Cloud White, Single-door (80H cm) version combines open compartments with a cupboard and two adjustable shelves. Its door can open to the left or right. That flexibility is useful where a basin or wall restricts the opening direction, provided the door still has room to move.

Amazon’s dimension table and product description give 18W × 20D × 80H cm, while one bullet gives 19cm depth. Use 20cm for initial planning and confirm the complete footprint if the fit is tight. A technical table also lists one drawer, although the main description identifies shelves and a cupboard: this pick is for cupboard storage, not a promised drawer.

The brand-provided description lists MDF, a 15kg overall static limit and 2.2kg per adjustable shelf. Those are listing claims. It explicitly requires fixing the supplied anti-tip kit to the wall. Choose it for small everyday supplies, rather than assuming an 18cm exterior will hold bulky towels.

The white Holbrook’s useful distinction is its 14.2cm width, with a drawer, slide-out shelf and rear compartment. Its 50cm depth needs much more room than the other picks. Check that pulling the storage forward will not block the doorway or hit another fitting. The manufacturer page confirms 14.2W × 50D × 58H cm and painted MDF.

There is an unresolved load discrepancy: the manufacturer page says 20kg, while its linked 3009009 manual says not to exceed 5kg. Confirm the current model instructions with VonHaus before loading; we do not recommend using the larger figure. The manual also warns against prolonged wetting. This is a storage-layout choice, not a heavy-load or waterproof recommendation.

The inspected White, 180cm BZR34-II-W uses a listed 20W × 20D cm footprint. It offers a central drawer and adjustable shelves; Amazon lists six shelves. Its technical model fields retain BZR34-W, while the title and brand description identify BZR34-II-W. Check the selected ASIN and 180cm variant rather than relying on the family name alone.

SoBuy’s manufacturer page confirms the dimensions, lacquered MDF, moisture-repellent foot pads and included anti-tip kit. It claims a 45kg load, also shown in Amazon’s description, but Amazon’s safety text specifies 25kg. Treat that limit as unresolved until the manufacturer confirms the current instructions.

SoBuy’s marketing calls wall fixing optional, while the Amazon listing describes the anti-tip kit for secure installation. Resolve the exact requirement before use; do not treat the tall, narrow shape as automatically stable. This pick suits vertical storage where height, access and safe installation are all confirmed.

The selected white LHC40W has four drawers in a listed 30cm-square footprint. The title gives 82.2cm height; other sections round it to 82cm. Allow for 82.2cm and confirm if it must sit beneath a ledge. Drawers let you separate small supplies without opening a cupboard door sideways, but still need clear space in front.

Amazon’s brand-provided description identifies MDF, self-assembly and required wall anchoring with the supplied anti-tip kit. It lists 4.5kg per drawer. We have not verified usable internal drawer heights, so measure your tallest bottle and request internal dimensions before ordering. Unlike the adjustable-shelf choices, this layout is less flexible for tall containers. It suits sorting smaller items when you have the extra width.

How to measure the gap properly

Measure the narrowest usable width at floor level and above the skirting. Include pipes, boxing and uneven walls. Measure depth from the point the cabinet can actually stand, not from the wall if skirting holds it forward. Check whether the top, feet or handles protrude beyond the main body; request a drawing when the listing does not make this clear.

Mark the proposed footprint with removable tape, then sit on the toilet, reach the basin and walk through the doorway. Open the bathroom door and any neighbouring drawers. For a pull-out unit, mark its open position too. Keep plumbing access panels, valves and cleaning routes reachable.

Check height against windowsills, mirrors and towel rails. A tall unit may need room to be raised during assembly as well as clearance once upright. Compare internal shelf or drawer dimensions with the items you plan to store: a 20cm-wide exterior is not a 20cm-wide usable shelf. We have not established a complete set of internal heights for these variants; ask for them where bottle fit matters.

Tall towers, low units and wall cabinets

A tower uses height to gain compartments from a small footprint, but upper storage may be harder to reach and stability needs attention. A low unit keeps everyday items closer to hand and can fit below a window; it offers less vertical capacity. Keep heavier contents low and within the confirmed instructions, rather than treating the top as a place to stack spare bottles.

All four recommendations are floor-standing. A wall-mounted cabinet can leave the floor available for cleaning, but needs a suitable wall, appropriate fixings and installation permission. If no safe floor gap exists, explore over-toilet storage units or under-sink bathroom organisers, with their separate cistern and pipe-clearance checks. The bathroom storage category brings the published guides together.

Materials and bathroom humidity

Coated MDF is used across these picks; a moisture-resistance claim does not establish performance in every bathroom. VonHaus explicitly distinguishes water resistance from waterproofing in its manual. Keep board-based furniture away from sustained wetting, avoid leaving damp textiles on it and follow the exact care instructions. Wipe splashes rather than allowing water to sit at joints or feet.

Bamboo and metal alternatives still need product-specific checks: material names alone do not establish resistance at joints, coatings or fixings. Ventilation, splash exposure and how often surfaces stay damp differ between homes. We have not compared long-term moisture durability or rust resistance, so none of these picks earns a durability ranking.

Anti-tip fixing in a rented bathroom

Freestanding describes how a cabinet stands; it does not settle whether anchoring is required. Both VASAGLE listings explicitly require their anti-tip kits. Follow the exact assembly and fixing instructions for any selected unit. Resolve SoBuy’s conflicting marketing against its current manual before installation.

If necessary fixing involves drilling, agree it with the landlord before buying. Check that the proposed wall and fixings are suitable, and that concealed services can be avoided. Do not replace a specified anchor with adhesive strips on an assumption they offer equivalent protection. If compliant installation is not possible, choose a different storage arrangement.

Choose by the complete space: VonHaus for a very narrow deep gap, BBC310W01 for a low cupboard, SoBuy for a confirmed tower position, or LHC40W for sorting items into drawers. Leave the bathroom easy to use and clean; extra compartments are only useful if you can reach them.
