Bathroom Storage
UK bathrooms are often a wet box with a sink. Storage has to survive steam, stay off the tiny floor, and not block the towel rail. Over-toilet shelves and shower caddies do the real work; floor cabinets usually lose.
Key buying considerations
If it cannot handle condensation, it does not belong in this room.
Steam eats chipboard
Open shelves and sealed cabinets last longer than cheap carcasses that swell after one winter.
Over-toilet is not always possible
Cistern shapes, soil pipes and extractor fans steal the 'empty' wall. Measure before you buy a ladder shelf.
Cleaning kit needs a home too
Toilet brushes and cloths should not live on the cistern. A caddy that hangs inside a cupboard is more honest.
